Question about dog bath?

I have been giving my dog medicine to kill flees & ticks, the k9 advantix. I also use the shampoo to kill ticks & flees every month. My question is should i use the regular dog shampoo since the k9 advantix works great for my dog or just continue using both: the k9 advantix & the flees & ticks dog shampoo?
