Can dried fruit contain alcohol?

I bought some dried raisin and left them in the cupboard. I opened the package today and it had a very strong smell, kinda like alcohol. I tasted it and it tasted weird. It looks like it's semi rotten but still edible. Can it contain any alcohol? Is it possible to get drunk from eating dried raisins left in the cupboard?
