How to change k9 web protection settings without password and not remove the program?

Parents want control over my computer so that i won't do anything stupid and this program is very good at that, but i have some settings on it that i would like to remove. For example, Facebook, hacking and blogs are all blocked categories. i research a lot of stuff about computers phones graphic design stuff art and operating systems etc., unfortunately i can't access it. i would like to somehow get the settings changed but not remove it. thanks
